The longer I’ve been around the industry, the more I’ve realized that nobody ever tells the owners and operators stories.
Everyone sees the estate sale, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Nobody hears about the time spent comping and staging, tagging the 535th item with a whole house still to go, the families you’ve quietly held together, the finds that still make you laugh, or the one estate that nearly broke you. It’s one of the most human and under appreciated trades out there.
We love hearing about how owners/operators (you) got into the industry- maybe there’s a family legacy behind your company (or maybe it’s a new one).
Hearing genuine stories from first-hand experience is what it’s all about…the impact you make on your local area/families, a sale(s) that changed the way you work, or something else entirely.
Whenever I sit down for coffee in-person, on the phone, or on video calls with other estate sale owners, the stories are awesome. I want listeners + viewers of Behind The Tag to feel that too…
The goal of the show is to is to help share stories with other like-minded owners/operators that are also in the trenches in the space (and in doing so shining light on your business with you as a guest).
I might be biased here (maybe you agree), but I believe every estate sale company has a story to tell.
